may contain harmful ingredients that adversely affect our health.
Women, especially women of color, are particularly affected. This four-part
seminar will be presented via Zoom by Dr. Fran Solomon,
environmental scientist. Dr. Solomon will explain what the chemicals
are, how they affect our health, and how we can protect ourselves and
our families.
Learn more about proposed legislation, in Washington state and nationally,
on the use and disclosure of toxic chemicals in beauty and personal care
products. Along with attending the seminar, you can add your voice in
support of this legislation.

Metals and organic chemicals have many important uses in everyday products in our homes, offices, and gardens, but many of these chemicals also have toxic effects from the molecular to the organism to the ecosystem level. Toxic chemicals and other pollutants contaminate our oceans, estuaries, rivers, streams, and lakes as well as our air, soil, and food, and do not stop at national borders.
